Could you tell me why swears are bad in the first place? Some are degrading to certain races, but why the "heck" do you care if someone swears? WHY IS IT BAD???

It is vulgur, if you do it you just insult yourself and your name. We don't want that to happen do we?
Also, there might be some younger viewers, we don't want them saying them.

People do care. Take a look at it from a socio-behavioral perspective, from people who might think differently than you.

Why not use swear words? After all, if everyone used them, they wouldn't be considered swear words, would they?

That is precisely the problem. Swear words have strong emotional connotations attached to them. These can be used to abuse and cause offence in other people. They often incite arguments and degrade the quality of the discussion. This is why they should not be encouraged. People can earn more respect from others if they use better words.

Always were, with a oriental name like CARL.

If you use a vulgur word, it shows that you are not smart and don't have a good vocabulary. Just get some other names from a thesaurus or something, not meaning the same thing. Like, firebrand, oaf, buffoon, etc. Look up synonyms for those and you'll be good to go, or use them!

Swearing is bad because it is a bad habit. You need to control your anger or whatever it is. It is not good to use vulgar language just because it is vulgar. You use vulgar words then people assume that you are vulgar.
